All parents and carers of children attending West Hove Infants School, School Road site are welcomed and encouraged to get involved with the FoWHIS committee. Our aim is to enhance every child’s school experience through social events, activities and raising funds for additional experiences and resources for both children and adults alike.
What does the committee do? We…
- Arrange fundraising opportunities (readathons, non-uniform days, bake sales!)
- Fund classroom and playground equipment
- Plan summer fairs, discos and parties
- Provide all pupils with home learning resources
- Fund additional experience days
- Communicate with the school and parents
- Organise packs and social events for new parents
- Fund leavers gifts and certificates

This could be ideas for new events, ways you’d feel more included or possibly events you’ve heard other schools around the country taking part in which you’d like to see us doing too. If you’re able to help out this year, even on an ad-hoc basis, please get in touch. The FoWHIS committee is especially in dire need of more parents, grandparents and carers to help. Everyone who joins has a direct impact on how we support the school and the initiatives we put in place.
