In recent months, staff from the infant and junior schools have been working closely together with our Federated Governing body to create new vision and value statements which reflect the characteristics, ethos and aims of both schools. Originally co-created with the children, our starting points were our existing statements.
To ensure that our new vision and value statements feed into every part of school life and reflect our ethos and culture of continuous improvement for the children, every staff member was involved in this process.
Vision Statement
The following child-centred vision encapsulates our commitment to every single pupil within Hove Learning Federation. It guides all our staff both inside and outside the classroom and keeps us all focused on the promise and magic that is inside us all:

Anti-Racist Vision Statement:
‘‘Our community learns together on a journey to a more inclusive, diverse and equal future. We acknowledge the inter-generational pain of the past and learn from our present strengths and flaws to guide the route to a better tomorrow. Tomorrow cannot be better for any of us if it is not better for all of us, inclusive of race, skin colour, ethnicity and identity. Our aims:
