Breakfast and After School Clubs

SCHOOL ROAD BREAKFAST CLUB

We offer a Breakfast Club for Infants at our School Road site, in the School Canteen. Entrance is via the small gate that leads up to the school office. The club runs Monday to Friday from 8am until school starts. Children are signed out at the end of the session and taken to their designated class line ready for the start of the school day.

Breakfast Club costs £5.00 per session and does not operate in school holidays or on INSET Days.

The Breakfast Club is run by the school and is lead by Mrs Coyle (TA), Mrs Nicholson (TA), Miss Amos (TA), Mrs Harwood (TA), Miss Catumbela (TA), Mrs Trivedi (MDSA). Staff are DBS checked, first-aid trained and have received the school’s safeguarding training.

Each morning the children start with registration then enjoy 15 minutes of physical activities or games to wake them up. The children then have breakfast. The choice of breakfast will vary from day to day but will include the following: choice of cereals, toast with various toppings/spreads, bagels, yoghurt/fromage frais, fruit, milk, fruit juice or water. After breakfast a variety of indoor activities supervised by Breakfast Club Staff will be provided to occupy the children until the start of school.

We aim to provide a high quality service which meets the needs of both parents/carers and children. For parents/carers, this means knowing that your child is safe and happy in a club that is reliable and offers a consistent service. For a child, this means an environment that is safe, supportive, encouraging, nurturing, a place to be with friends and make new ones, to try out different activities, to relax, to have fun and enjoy. Parents/carers are expected to give their support and encouragement to the aim of West Hove Infant School Breakfast Club. West Hove Infant School Breakfast Club will ensure that appropriate standards of behaviour, discipline and hygiene are maintained.
