How and Why Become a Governor

Our governing board is made up of five types of governors

1. Headteacher  x 2
2. Staff Governor x 1
3. Local authority Governor x 1
4. Parent Governor x 2
5. Co-opted governor x 10

Co-opted Governors are positions determined by the governing board. Governors in these positions are often members of the local community that have a specific expertise or skill which enriches the work of the governing board. They are appointed by the existing board following an interview.
